Restoration

On the initiative of the Hall Management Committee and with support from The Hastoe Club and Residents’ Association, the restoration of Hastoe Village Hall started in mid-2010. The aim was to restore the Hall to the high standard of community resource envisaged when Lady Emma Rothschild opened the Hall in the 1890s and to enable the extent and variety of use set out as Our Vision.

After two years’ effort, the Hall was re-opened on 25th November 2012 by Lord and Lady Rothschild and we hope that users and visitors will agree that the Restoration Scheme has achieved its aim.

Our thanks are due to the Chiltern Leader Fund, the Big Lottery Fund, the Hastoe Club and Residents’ Association, Tring Town Council, Hertfordshire County Council, The Rothschild Foundation and to private donors for the funds provided to finance the restoration. We also wish to express our gratitude to members of the Fund-raising Committee and to our project manager; and most importantly to those members of the Hastoe community who have put in so much behind- the-scenes effort over the last two years.

Thanks are due for support of the restoration project from:

Thanks are also due to: Tring Town Council, Hertfordshire County Council, The Rothschild Foundation and The Hastoe Club and Residents’ Association.
